Commonwealth Golf Club is one of the Clubs of the world famous Melbourne Sandbelt and is rated highly amongst Australia's top golf courses.

The Club has hosted Australian Open Championships, as well as other major events such as the Victorian Open, Australian Amateur and Australian Ladies Open.

In 2010, the Club hosted the HANDA Women's Australian Open
and will do so once again in 2011, between the 3rd and 6th February.
