Joining Commonwealth

It's a great time to be joining Commonwealth!

Commonwealth offers the ultimate golfing experience. The quality of the golf course and the clubhouse are first rate, however what makes Commonwealth so special is the friendliness of the Members and the ease of getting a game. We value the importance of making sure that the field sizes are always very comfortable for members and their guests.

Membership at Commonwealth is quite exclusive, however the process of joining is not overly onerous. Firstly, a candidate requires the support of four people, namely a proposer, seconder and two referees. The Proposer and Seconder must be existing Commonwealth Golf Club members of at least two years standing, and the two referees may be from outside the Club if necessary. The process involves the candidate attending a brief interview and also attending a playing ability test. Generally, there are at least three intakes per year.

The Entrance Fee is presently $10,000 for candidates over 40 years of age. This amount may be paid as follows:

Candidates that are family related to a member of Commonwealth (spouse, partner, brother, sister, mother, father, daughter, son, grandparents, grandchildren, and in-laws) have a special entrance fee of $5000, all payable in year one.

Candidates under the age of 40  also have a special entrance fee of $5000 and may pay this off in installments between their age at joining and their 40th birthday. (max 10 instalments)
