Practice
Commonwealth Golf Club offers a full suite of practice facilities, including practice range, short game area and putting greens.
The practice range features 50m, 100m, 150m and 200m targets, with designated hitting areas for both irons and woods. Use of woods is subject to the prevailing conditions.
The turf tee is available for much of the year, with the exception of winter when balls must be hit from the synthetic mat to preserve the turf.
The short game area features pitching and chipping to a feature green with multiple pin targets, along with two sand bunkers.
The club features multiple practice putting greens, with the feature practice greens located in front of the clubhouse, a large practice green adjacent to the Golf Shop and an additional practice putting green adjacent to the 10th tee.
The range and short game area is closed from 6.00pm on Monday afternoons until 10.00am on Tuesday mornings for maintenance.
Members and guests can visit the Golf Shop to purchase a ticket to obtain balls from the range ball dispenser located in the hut on the practice range.
