Motorised Golf Vehicles
Members who are unable to walk the course because of physical disability or illness may apply to the Committee for permission to use one of the Club’s motorised golf vehicles, or where appropriate, their own motorised golf vehicle (MGV).
All applications should be made in writing to the club and be supported by an appropriate report from a medical practitioner substantiating the existence of the member’s disability or illness and the likely duration.
There are three categories for the use of motorised vehicles by members as follows:
Temporary – where members have suffered a physical disability or illness from which they are expected to recover – under these circumstances members will be provided with a time limited permission to use the Club’s motorised golf vehicles.
Provisional – where members have suffered a physical disability or illness that will be long lasting and where the severity of the condition varies from day to day – under these circumstances members will be granted permanent permission to use the Club’s motorised golf vehicles where they need to.
Permanent – where members have suffered a permanent physical disability or illness that stops them from walking the course – under these circumstances members will be granted permanent permission to use the Club’s motorised golf vehicles or their own vehicle.
All members and guests must be aware of the Club’s Motorised Golf Vehicle policy and rules for their use, and must have signed a Release & Indemnity or a Hire Agreement prior to using an MGV on the course.
In all instances we recommend members and their guests discuss their situation with the Club prior to proceeding.
